About us

dtbWebDesign is Deborah Blankenberg, a website developer who can build and maintain sites to fit your individual style and needs.

Background

Deborah started designing websites after volunteering to maintain a site for an organization in Stockton, California. She saw that the site had vast unfulfilled potential, so she offered to give it a complete makeover. The site has drawn unsolicited positive feedback.

Eventually, a friend asked Deborah to design a website for her business, a small yoga studio in Lodi, California. It was Deborah’s first paid job in web design, and it inspired her to start her own web development business.

Education and experience

Deborah has a bachelor of arts degree from California State University, Fullerton, in communications with an emphasis in news/editorial (i.e., journalism). She has worked since 1987 for the San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News, The Orange County (Calif.) Register and The (Stockton, Calif.) Record as a copy editor, page designer, web updater, software trainer and newsroom computer systems administrator.

She holds a Web Technologies Certificate from the HTML Writers Guild/International Webmasters Association, which she earned by successfully completing courses in HTML, CSS, web design and web forms. She also has completed two courses in JavaScript through HWG/IWA and continues to study to expand her skills to serve you better.

Deborah is a member of the HTML Writers Guild and the International Webmasters Association.
